Carpenter/PainterAthens State University Closing Date:Job Duties:The carpenter position involves the performance of duties involvingroughed and finished carpentry. These duties are essential in orderto insure that the carpentry demands are accomplished asexpeditious as possible. While performing these duties, allnecessary precautions are taken to assure the safety of AthensState University faculty, staff, students and visitors.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Repairs and makes alterations to walls, floors, roofs,stairways, doors, windows, etc.Constructs partitions, concrete forms, wood fixtures,furniture, etc.Builds cabinets, computer workstations, bookcases,etc.Pours and finishes concrete.Hangs and finishes sheetrock.Repairs and replaces door locks, closures and various locksmithduties.Applies paint, stain, varnish, enamel, or lacquer to decorateand protect interior and exterior surfaces.General paintingInstalls bulletin and glass boards.Cuts and installs paneling, trim, ceilings andflooring.Performs other duties as assigned.
