Patrol car damaged on freeway

first_img http://www.insidesocal.com/sgvcrime EL MONTE – A patrol car taking a suspect to a juvenile facility in Downey was slightly damaged Monday night after being struck by a tire on the freeway, authorities said. No one was injured in the 8:34 a.m. accident on the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, El Monte police Lt. Santos Hernandez said. “They were in the car pool lane,” Hernandez said. Another car hit a loose tire, it bounced up and hit the passenger door of the patrol car.” The CHP is investigating the incident.
