by News Staff Posted Mar 30, 2015 6:45 pm MDT Iconic Eamon’s gas station given another six months Calgary’s historic Eamon’s gas station will continue to sit in storage on a northwest property until the fall.City Council voted to see if any potential buyers for the iconic building would still surface in the next six months.Mayor Naheed Nenshi tells City News, this should keep a lot of options open to avoid demolishing the 1950s gas station.“The City was not able to receive any bids to keep the Eamon’s building in place at Tuscany Station prior to the deadline, since then there has been one offer to move it back to the station, this one needs a bit of work,” Nenshi said. The Eamon’s building was bought by the City a few years ago and moved to make way for the Tuscany LRT station.
